Aachen Society for Innovation and Technology Transfer (AGIT)

The Aachen Society for Innovation and Technology Transfer, AGIT for short, was Germany’s first regional economic development agency when the Aachen Technology Centre was founded in 1983.

Under the motto “Found. Settle. Promote.” AGIT offers a mix of services such as start-up and growth consulting, support in the search for a location, development of new fields of technology and regional economic development.

Chamber of Industry and Commerce Aachen (IHK Aachen)

The Chamber of Industry and Commerce Aachen is a public corporation and represents the interests of about 70,000 member companies from industry, trade and services towards politics and administration. This includes, for example, questions of transport infrastructure, the establishment of new businesses, investment grants, business start-ups or taxes and duties in the individual cities and communities.

In addition, it offers its members various service offerings. These include advice on tax and competition law, business start-ups, energy efficiency and securing skilled workers.

Chamber of Crafts Aachen

As a regional umbrella organization (StädteRegion Aachen and the districts of Düren, Euskirchen and Heinsberg), the Aachen Chamber of Skilled Crafts represents the interests of its members at all levels of economic, political and social life. It has about 16,200 member companies, which employ more than 100,000 people and train 7,035 apprentices.

The aim of its activities is to offer the companies scope for economic development and to increase their efficiency. As a public corporation, it also performs a number of sovereign tasks (e.g. managing the Register of Craftsmen) that have been transferred to it by the state

As a modern service center, it offers its members an extensive range of consulting, service and training opportunities. Furthermore, it offers advice to founders of new businesses and companies.

Founding Region Aachen

With five regional starting centers in NRW, the GründerRegion is the central contact point for all founders from the StädteRegion Aachen and the districts of Düren, Euskirchen, Heinsberg. Its information and consulting services offer practical help on the way to entrepreneurial independence – for tradespeople, craftsmen, service providers, freelancers, technology-oriented founders, company successors and founders out of unemployment.

BIO.NRW

BIO.NRW centrally catalyzes the sustainable development of the strengths of North Rhine-Westphalian biotechnology. BIO.NRW activates cooperation between research, companies, investors and politicians at state, national and international level.

As part of the state cluster initiative, the BIO.NRW cluster is supported by the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

MedLife e.V.

MedLife e. V. is a platform for networking the life sciences-related actors in the Aachen-Jülich region and across borders in the border triangle. The already presented location factors from research and science are also used in this association to facilitate the development of important resources and competencies for young companies. Thus, the commitment of its in turn represents a potentially decisive advantage for tenants and start-ups at the Baesweiler location, which we hold in store for you.

BioRiver – Life Science in the Rhineland

BioRiver was founded in 2004 as a regional industry association for biotechnology and life sciences in the Rhineland. With approximately 100 members, it is fully supported by the players in the Rhineland BioRegion.

Since then, BioRiver has successfully promoted networking in the region and offers a platform for intensive exchange between industry, science, investors and politics. Through the active cooperation of its members, the association promotes technology transfer between science and industry and acts as a mediator between research groups, research projects and industry. Furthermore, BioRiver is a competent contact for North Rhine-Westphalian state politics.
